London Tech Week @ China


From May 15th to 18th, 2018, with the support of the London & Partners, Knect365 and Tech London Advocates, ,John Zai, the Founder and CEO of CENTI GROUP, and his team brought London Tech Week to China for the first time.



London Tech Week is Europe’s largest technology convention. In 2017, the event-packed week covered all the hottest tech topics such as 5G, VR&AR, E-commerce, robotics, AI, Machine Learning and many more. In 2017, London Tech Week welcomed 40,000 guests from more than 70 countries. The LTW launch in China promised to strengthen China-UK business relations in the tech and innovation sector and facilitated the Chinese enterprises intended to go global to build international relationship network and seek new business opportunities.


In this year, the first London Tech Week in China were launched in Shanghai and Shenzhen. It covered a wide range of areas including Fintech and Blockchain, IoT, MedTech and GreenTech. The events also focused on the future impact of AI (Artificial Intelligence), Technology Innovation, AR and VR, Machine Learning, driverless cars and other hot topics of technology

As the Ambassador of London Tech Week, John Zai believes that this collaboration has formed a new international network of China and Europe


“Bringing the London Tech Week concept to China is a logical next step in encouraging Sino-British collaboration. London Tech Week is unique in the wealth of innovation it showcases and the breadth of industries it covers, from GreenTech and MedTech to VR/AR and AI. I believe this LTW launch in China will greatly excite Chinese investors and tech enthusiasts and encourage them to visit London during the festival in June”


The LTW China launch events also drew a total of more than 1,500 technology industry leaders and government representatives to discuss innovative technology in the global marketplace, including the ambassador of London Tech Week Russ Shaw, the CEO of UK Business Angels Association Jenny Tooth, the CEO of tech UK Julian David, the founder and first CEO of Tech City Eric Van der Kleij and other guests.



London Tech Week@China invited more than 30 Chinese and UK outstanding technology companies from Medtech, fintech, blockchain, smart city, artificial intelligence and other industries to perform roadshows in Shanghai and Shenzhen. For example, AlgoLib (from the fintech field), Veridenkey (from the blockchain field), Adabotics (from the field of artificial intelligence), XIN JIN (from the information technology field), Immulysis (from the biomedical field) and etc.  The roadshows of many outstanding technology companies brought a new technological experience to the participants and attracted much attention of Chinese technology industry.
