CENTI Event Review: Luqiao, China - Belgium Overseas Incubator High-Level Overseas Talent Roadshow

On 2nd Nov 2020, Luqiao, China - Belgium Overseas Incubator High-Level Overseas Talent Roadshow held in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province, China. It is hosted by the Taizhou City Management Offices and CENTI Group. Over 50 projects applied for the roadshow. Five locals and six overseas projects were selected to participate in the roadshow.

The main stage of the roadshow


This event aims to build up a platform between the Luqiao District, Taizhou City of Zhejiang Province and the European entrepreneurs. Due to the pandemic, the roadshow is in a combination of online and offline. CENTI Group invited the experts from "500 Elite Program" from Taizhou City to be the judges. The winning teams that passed the evaluation were recommended to the Elite programme and get more substantial supports from Luqiao District.


Mrs Weidong Fan, the Minister of the Organization Department of Luqiao District gave an opening speech. She stated that the Luqiao district is a young and vibrant place with great innovation spirit. Luqiao District has good geographical conditions with integrated transportation system which are composed of in-land transportation, shipping and airlines. Also, talents and innovative start-ups could enjoy generous supports locally. Talents and companies from Europe are more than welcomed to come to Luqiao for new opportunities.

Mrs Vicky Liu, the Partner and Deputy Director of CENTI Group mentioned that CENTI will make use of its platform between China and Europe tech communities, helping to build up Luqiao District’s international influence and connect with the European tech industry. Also, CENTI has a great connection with start-up, scale-up, universities and investment firm both in China and the Europe. Moreover, CENTI has very much experience in hosting cross border events. It gives CENTI the confidence to undertake more project related to international tech corporation. In the future, CENTI would like to connect more outstanding tech projects with Luqiao District to build a global impact of technology and innovation network hub in Luqiao.

The start-up who participated in the roadshow came from AI, 3D, new energy, and car industries. They showed great interest in the future development in Luqiao District in the Q&A section. Some of them had 1-2-1 communication with the experts and staff from Luqiao Management Offices after the roadshow.


The highlight of the start-up projects:


1: Ar-AI-5G Smart Protective Helmet


Developed and manufactured by the project, the AR-AI-5G Smart Protective Helmet expands the capabilities of standard helmets with innovative augmented reality capabilities and artificial intelligence support for a wide range of applications in government law enforcement, military, cargo and food distribution, and indoor construction.


2: A new generation of axial diesel engines


The project aims to develop and manufacture a new generation of axial diesel engines, the main advantages of the company products compared to conventional diesel engines are lighter, suitable for hybrid systems, the power density of up to 4 hp/kg, diesel efficiency 140-170 g / hp.h, two-stroke engine, propeller direct drive, propeller direct drive.


3: The intellectual vision recognition technology scheme


The project is the world-leading provider of visual recognition technology and has successfully launched leading AI visual recognition technologies such as AirMove (Gesture Manipulation System), AirFace (Face Recognition System), AirWave (Alien Internet System), and AirTap (Space Input System).


CENTI will keep work with Luqiao District to facilitate the technology and innovation collaboration between China and Europe. Congratulation to the selected start-ups in this roadshow. We are looking forward to the next one.
