British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association Drinks Meetup

On the occasion of the annual event London Tech Week, young entrepreneurs from China and the UK were invited to attend the British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association Drinks Meetup in 2019 on June 12. The aim of the meet-up is to provide a platform and social opportunities for young entrepreneurs, enhance possible cooperation and resource sharing, and exchange their needs through business parties.



BCYEA is a non-profit service organization rooted in the United Kingdom to promote Sino-British cooperative relations. It is committed to creating more business opportunities for young entrepreneurs from the perspective of public welfare. Since Mr. John Zai was founded in 2013, the British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association has helped young entrepreneurs from both sides to establish professional and long-term partnerships. At the early stage, many ambitious entrepreneurs who were also enthusiastic about serving the community had already joined the organization. With continual development, the organization were providing opportunities for young entrepreneurs from both countries. 


John Zai, Founder & Chairman at The British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association (BCYEA)

The first part of the Drinks Meetup is to introduce the founding process and development of British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association. Mr. John Zai addressed that Chinese-British Young Entrepreneurs Association is a pure public welfare, non-profit service organization. The original intention of the association is to unite young Chinese who start businesses overseas. From the public welfare point of view, the vision of the association is to become the most advanced Chinese entrepreneurship group in the UK, to create a global business ecosystem with organizations of the same nature, and to help everyone in need of entrepreneurship as much as possible. At present, the members of British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association is more than 1000 people which cover all various industries. It not only increases the width and breadth of the association's development, but also provides professional advice and solutions.

In the second part of the reception, Mr. John Zai invited the old members of the association to share their thoughts and feelings after joining the association. Mr. Evan Wang, joined BCYEA after starting his own business. He has launched the first life service platform - UKCNSHOP for Chinese students in Britain, and a series of other business projects such as seagoing boat service industry, which have achieved remarkable success. He said that since the founding of the BCYEA, it has not deviated from the characteristics of "youth entrepreneurship". With the year of entrepreneurship as the main axis, it has provided entrepreneurship guidance from mentors in many ways. The association is developing and expanding, and it is opening up to more and more business cooperation opportunities.

Mr. Xinsheng Zhao, Representative Director of Jiangsu Economic and Trade Representative Office in the United Kingdom also made a speech. He stated that he was honored to attend this grand gathering of young entrepreneurs. The British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association is an advanced Chinese entrepreneurship team. It adheres to the original intention of non-profit and unites young Chinese overseas. Mr. Zhao highly praised the achievements of BCYEA. "The British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association is the first public welfare organization in the UK to provide entrepreneurs with a series of supporting services, including incubators, accelerators, intellectual property conversion and foundations. The Association has unique and inspiring ideas, and fearless entrepreneurs.

The third part of the party, the young entrepreneurs who came to the party with admiration, expressed their desire to join the association.



At the end of the reception, the partner of CENTI Group, Mr. Patrick Gao and Mr. Chen Zhang, the CEO of Shanghai Jingji Enterprise Management Co., LTD signed a contract to secure future cooperation in Electronic Sports industry.


In conclusion, the drink meetup (British-Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Association Drinks Meetup) was hosted for entrepreneurs, managers, business owners and everyone interested in innovation & technology. It helped all the participants to share experiences, mingle and learn from each other.
