On September, the 2019 Qingdao High-tech Zone Lanebest International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition officially completed.
The international innovation selection project will compete in the Qingdao finals in October. At the same time, two high-tech incubators in the Qingdao National High-Tech Development Zone, Gao Chuang Incubation Base and Lanebest Industrial Park, landed in London and Berlin respectively.
The competition was hosted by Qingdao National High-tech Development Zone. Under the support and guidance of Qingdao High-tech Investment & Development Group Co., Ltd and Qingdao Hi-Tech Venture Capital Co., Ltd, CENTI Group is proud to host two competitions in London and Berlin.
The Qingdao High-tech Zone Lanebest International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an important movement for Qingdao High-tech Zone to attract tech talents as well as high-end technology. This year, in addition to the five major domestic competition areas of Shanghai, Wuhan, Qingdao, Beijing and Shenzhen, it also hosted three overseas cities London, Berlin and Silicon Valley.
The 10 finalists teams from overseas competition area would be expected to Inject Vitality to Qingdao technology industries. Among them, the semi-final pitch in London was mainly for financial technology and big data areas while in Berlin, it focused on AI(Artificial intelligence) and IoT(Internet of Things) areas. In Silicon Valley, it focused on the exploration of AI(Artificial intelligence), information technology, automated driving, biomedicine and other advantageous industries.
Lanebest is an innovative and entrepreneurial brand that Qingdao High-tech Zone focuses on to accelerate innovation and encourage entrepreneurial practice. Since the year 2014, the High-tech Zone has launched the Lanebest Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for five years. More than 300 projects were introduced through the idea of “Competition for Business”. Nearly 60 projects have won prizes worth of 10 million yuan. Projects such as “Kang Li Tai” and “Haina Energy” have received investments of about 200 million yuan.
This year the Lanebest Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is co-hosted by Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Qingdao Hi-tech Venture-capital Investment Co., Ltd, which fully showcase the advantages of the system of ‘investment + incubation’.
Qingdao Hi-tech Venture-capital Investment Co., Ltd has participated in the establishment and management of 14 equity investment funds, and has successfully helped tech companies like EASTNM, Dalian Energas Gas-System and Yongjin Technologyin go public in China. They are able to provide Investment Research and financing service for the project.
The semi-final pitch in London and Berlin were divided into three groups.Among them, teams in London are divided into three groups: Information Consulting & Application Technology, Fintech & InsurTech, and New Generation Information Technology. Berlin is divided into: Big Data and IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Information Consulting and Application Technology. Each group specially invited 3 expert judges to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the start-up teams.
After intensive pitching, the expert judges evaluated the project based on startups’ Core Technology Business Model, Market Analysis and Financials plan.

During the competition, two high-tech incubators in the Qingdao National High-Tech Development Zone, Gao Chuang Incubation Base and Lanebest Industrial Park landed in London and Berlin respectively.
The international innovation selection project will compete in the Qingdao finals in October. The incubator in Qingdao will serve as a bridge connecting European innovation companies with Qingdao High-tech Development Zone, offering a platform for European tech startups to explore their business into China. Apart from that, Qingdao also provides diversified services such as technology transfer, incubation service, investment and financial support for the tech corporates from China and Europe.
Next, CENTI will cooperation with Qingdao to build tech ties between two countries and help entrepreneurs to accelerate their business in China.
